HURRY LAST DAYS!

PACIFIC RIM 3D will be presented in IMAX 4K LASER DIGITAL

EXPERIENCE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN IMAX LASER 3D BEFORE PACIFIC RIM UPRISING!

TWO SESSIONS ONLY:

IMAX moviegoers will see up to 26% more of the image on screen in Pacific Rim! The IMAX presentation of Pacific Rim will be specially formatted to feature a larger aspect ratio (the ratio of the image width to the image height) than the conventional release for the entirety of the film. This aspect ratio (1.90:1 presentation vs. a 2.40:1 presentation), which is optimised to take advantage of the IMAX screen, will allow you to see more of the image and result in a full panorama of the action – further immersing you into the vast scale and scope of the film and providing an up-close, you-are-there experience that can’t be missed.

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge.

But even the Jaegers proved almost defenceless in the face of the relentless Kaiju.  On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes—a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)—who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

The IMAX release of Pacific Rim will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience® with proprietary IMAX DMR® (Digital Re-mastering) technology. The crystal-clear images coupled with IMAX's customised theatre geometry and powerful digital audio create a unique environment that will immerse audiences within the movie.
