Ridley Scott, director of 'Alien' and 'Blade Runner,' returns to the genre he helped define. With Prometheus, he creates a yet another groundbreaking mythology in which a team of select individuals explore an advanced alien civilisation in search of the origins of humanity.

What we know so far...

Little is known about Prometheus' plotline, but what we can share with you, is that similar to Ridley Scott’s original ‘Alien’ (1979) it is for the most part set in space. The name "Prometheus" is that of a space vessel that is used by a crew of select individuals who set off to explore and investigate fragments of alien DNA.
As per the original Alien, Prometheus revolves around the Space Jockey creature; and when a team of scientists embarks on this particular journey they get stranded on an alien world which tests both their mental and physical limits. Prometheus is also largely based on the creation of mankind, life and the Earth. As a team of explorers comprised of scientists, company representatives and robots discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, they are lead on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe, where they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
