School bookings can be made by calling the Education Bookings Office on 13 11 02 Monday to Friday from 9am until 4:30pm. Alternatively, send us an email.
For bookings after 3pm on school days, weekends or on public holidays, limited sessions are available and conditions apply. Please contact us via our Bookings page for further information.
Methods of payment include credit/debit card or electronic funds transfer.
An invoice will be sent via email based on the number of students/extra adults quoted in the original booking.
You will be required to make payment for the number of students in attendance only.
Please note, unless the group leader informs our staff of the exact number of students in attendance, payment for the number of students on the original invoice will be required.
Upon arrival at the theatre an IMAX Melbourne staff member will greet you in the foyer. Your group leader will be required to confirm student numbers at the Candy Bar. While this occurs your group will be moved downstairs and/or into the theatre for seating.
Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes prior to the start of your session, to allow for payment and seating of your group.
If you have placed a Candy Bar order, or if your students wish to make individual purchases at the Candy Bar, please allow additional time beyond the recommended 15-20 minutes to ensure all purchases can be made without disrupting or delaying the seating process.
If your group is running late, please call us on 9385 4241 to inform us you are behind schedule.
Films start exactly on the session time and late entry may not be possible. Late groups will be invited to attend the next scheduled screening if seats are available.
Cancellations must be made in writing via email to [email protected].
IMAX and Melbourne Museum reserve the right to charge a cancellation/change fee of 50% of the total costs of the original booking if notification is not received 10 days in advance of the date of the original booking.
If you would like to place an order at the Candy Bar, please let our team know when you make your booking and an order form will be sent to you. This form needs to be returned at least 24 hours prior to your session.
